Extending the WP REST API

Are you planning to have another section on extending the REST API (in particular modifying responses)? In my limited experience with the REST API, they can be very useful.

Yes! I am currently working on Parts 1 – Advanced JS and VanillaPress V2

After that I will do two more Part 2 sections – Authentication and Customizing/Extending the WP API 🙂

Great news, really looking forward to the rest of Part 1. And Part 2 for that matter – learning a ton. Back to studying React with your friend Wes Boss and this section has really helped me understand how React is put together.

I’m building out a WP theme based on your lessons for the decoupled app (using the Backbone Client instead of the WP-API client). I’ll put the code up on github shortly if anyone’s curious . . . .
